The Lush Loom team delivered another project of Blackout & Sheer curtains installation at Apartment 210, Garden City 2, Dubai.

Our client was struggling with two major issues in their apartment: harsh sunlight streaming through bedroom and living room windows made it difficult to rest during the day. Moreover, constant street noise and vehicle horns disrupted their peace. They needed a solution that would create a more private, quiet, and aesthetically pleasing environment without compromising the apartment’s modern design.

Our senior designer and installation technicians visited the apartment for a comprehensive evaluation. We measured every window size, assessed the existing decor, and discussed the client’s lifestyle needs. Understanding that the bedroom needed both privacy & style while the living room required versatility, we developed a customized dual-layer curtain solution.

Working closely with the client, we carefully selected fabrics and colors that would complement their existing interior:

We paired elegant beige blackout curtains with soft sheer panels in a layered configuration. The beige tone was specifically selected to harmonize with the client’s headboard upholstery, creating a cohesive look. This dual-layer approach maximizes privacy, reduces external noise, and provides complete light control, essential for quality sleep.

For the living space, we recommended light ivory blackout curtains combined with cool white sheer curtains. This color palette was thoughtfully chosen to complement the apartment’s flooring and wall tones, maintaining an airy, spacious feel while offering functional light management throughout the day.

Our team arrived with a detailed installation plan. We carefully relocated the living room sofa and table to create a clear workspace, ensuring no damage to the client’s furniture. The bedroom required minimal furniture adjustment due to adequate clearance around the windows.

Both curtains were designed with premium pinch pleat headers for a refined, tailored appearance. In the bedroom, we used 3X fabric rather than window size to create beautiful, full pleats that enhance both the visual appeal, soundproofing, & privacy. The living room blackout curtains were fitted with elegant tiebacks, allowing the client to easily adjust natural light levels and maintain an open feel when desired.
