A Step-By-Step Project Description
On January 23, 2026, the Lush Loom team successfully transformed the windows at Apartment 609, Pearl House II, Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), Dubai. We installed blackout curtains and sheer in a layered style. The main goal of this project was to solve privacy and light control issues caused by nearby high-rise buildings.
Understanding The Problem
The apartment owner was facing serious privacy concerns. Tall buildings were located close to the apartment. This created constant visibility issues from neighboring buildings. The owner also struggled with harsh light coming through the windows throughout the day.
Site Visit & Window Measurement
Our team visited the apartment as per the client’s request. We brought our complete toolkit for accurate measurements. Our experts carefully measured the total window area that needed coverage. We also discussed the client’s specific problems and requirements.
Professional Consultation For Curtain Designing
The apartment walls had a taupe color. The ceiling was off-white. To create a cohesive appearance, we suggested matching colors. After examining the apartment’s interior, we recommended a light taupe color for the blackout drapes. For the sheer curtains, we chose off-white color. Both colors blended beautifully with the existing interior theme.
We added a double pinch-pleat header style for both window treatments. This style creates elegant folds and gives a premium look. The client approved our design suggestion. The client wanted complete window coverage for maximum privacy. We recommended full-length drapery that touches the floor. This ensures no gaps at the bottom and provides total coverage from ceiling to floor.
How We Installed Both Curtains In Pairing?
- We installed double curtain tracks by marking leveled positions with a measuring tape to ensure perfect alignment.
- We drilled clean, precise holes and securely fixed the brackets to the wall without causing any damage.
- We inserted pin hooks evenly into the header tape behind each pleat for smooth hanging and uniform appearance.
- We hung light taupe blackout drapes on the front track and off-white sheer on the back track for flexible light control.
Results Achieved!
- The blackout fabric completely blocked harsh light and ensured total privacy.
- The sheer curtains allowed soft filtered light when needed.
- The layered design gave full control over light and privacy throughout the day.
- The taupe & off-white colors created a cohesive look with the interior.
- Full-length window coverage from ceiling to floor with no gaps.
- The double pinch-pleat style added an elegant finishing touch.
