Stairs Carpet Installation Project in Villa At Jumeirah Island Cluster 30

The Lush Loom team recently completed a stair carpet installation project at a luxury villa in Jumeirah Island Cluster 30, Dubai. The villa owner wanted to make the curved winder staircase safer, more durable, visually appealing, and protected from everyday wear and damage.

Our carpet experts visited the villa to consult with the owner and assess the staircase requirements. We examined the curved winder stairs closely and identified key factors such as surface type, stair shape, and usage patterns to plan the best installation approach.

The curved staircase featured a total of 25 steps. Our team took precise measurements of each tread depth and riser height individually. Accurate measurements at this stage ensure a perfectly fitted carpet with no gaps, wrinkles, or misalignment.

We selected a stair runner crafted from natural sisal fibers in a rich black color. The carpet features a hand-stitched golden beige border along both edges, adding elegance and a refined finish. Its woven flatweave design provides enhanced traction, a critical feature for curved stairs that experience high foot traffic.

The stairs had a polished marble surface, which required careful preparation before installation. Our team cleaned each step thoroughly to remove dust and debris. We then applied painter’s tape along the centre of each step to create a secure adhesive base without damaging the marble underneath.

We began the installation from the top of the staircase and worked downward, step by step. Each sisal carpet section was aligned precisely before fixing to ensure a seamless, straight fit. We maintained equal spacing on both sides of the carpet edges throughout, giving the runner a balanced and polished appearance. Our team pressed each section firmly onto the adhesive surface to lock it in place without movement.
